How do I view or reply to messages?

boatsales members are able to communicate with each other via their accounts. This is a great way to keep all of your communication between a buyer and seller in one place and is able to be viewed anywhere, anytime.

Viewing and replying to messages on desktop 

  1. Sign into your boatsales account 
  2. Hover the mouse over your name in the top right corner and select Messages from the drop down menu.

  3. Enquiries you have made and received are kept separate, you can flick between the two inboxes by clicking on the Buying and Selling tabs located at the top of your inbox. 
  4. To respond to a message, select the one you wish to answer from the list on the left side of the page and then click into the text box at the bottom to begin typing. 
  5. Once you’re finished composing your message, click the send button.

Messages now include ‘Read’ receipts to let you know when the other party has seen your message.

  1. Go to the boatsales App and select the Account tab located at the bottom of your screen. 
  2. Sign into your boatsales account (if you haven’t already). 
  3. Next, select the Messages tab, this will show you all enquiries you have made and received. 
  4. Enquiries you have made and received are kept separate, you can flick between the two inboxes by clicking on the Buying and Selling tabs located at the top of your screen.

  5. To respond to a message, select the one you wish to answer from the list and click into the text box at the bottom to begin typing. 
  6. Once you’re finished composing your message, click the arrow icon to send.
