With the Victorian state government announcing additional lockdown measures, there are changes to how you can connect with dealers and private sellers. During this time, we encourage all our buyers & sellers to stay safe, stay well and follow government advice.
Customers will be unable to offer a physical test drive or inspection. However, there are still many ways to digitally communicate with dealers and sellers and to continue your research.
Here are some key features on listings to keep an eye out for to continue your buying journey while under lockdown:
Walk-around tours of the boat in your videos
Some sellers are now using video alongside photos to show a 360º view of the outside of the boat, different angles inside or slow driving footage. In lieu of an inspection think about what you want to know or see before buying a boat.
Video chat for inspections
A video chat is a good alternative as an initial vehicle inspection. Live video gives you the ability to ask the seller any key questions you might have or get a more detailed look at some of features they are most interested in.
The comments section of the ad
Sellers can use the comments of their ad to instruct how to best contact them, if they are willing to organise virtual inspections or if they are not taking enquiries until after lockdown ends.
